Partnership between New World Hotels & Resorts and Sun Group will unveil all-villa enclave at one of Vietnam’s finest beach destinations
Third season of direct Air New Zealand flights underway
Air New Zealand’s third season of non-stop flights between Ho Chi Minh City and New Zealand started on June 23 and this year it is cooperating with Miss Universe Vietnam 2017, H’Hen Nie, to introduce New Zealand’s attractions through an exhilarating travelogue.
From June 23 to October 23 Air New Zealand will operate two services a week from Auckland to Ho Chi Minh City, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. It also partners with Singapore Airlines to offer passengers alternative travel options, transiting in Singapore before heading to New Zealand.
“Vietnam is an emerging market with significant growth predicted in the near future, and this direct link has been proven to boost tourism, education and business links between the countries over last two years,” said Ms. Jenni Martin, Head of South, South East Asia at Air New Zealand.
“From this season, we will focus on leveraging the region’s potential to encourage visitation across the year through both direct and indirect flights. We’re glad to have Miss Universe Vietnam H’Hen Nie accompany Air New Zealand to welcome our third season of non-stop flights to Vietnam.”
The number of Kiwis visiting Vietnam in the first five months of this year totaled 18,181, an increase of 105.4 per cent year-on-year. The number of Vietnamese travelling to New Zealand, meanwhile, has also been growing rapidly over the years, reaching 29,340 this year by April. This shows the strong connection between the two countries and the potential for flights.
“New Zealand deserves the title ‘Heaven on Earth’ for its stunning landscapes and unique culture,” said H’Hen Nie, in sharing her excitement about her recent trip to New Zealand on Air New Zealand’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
“You will fall in love with the destination and feel the warm Kiwi hospitality from the moment you step onboard. It took around eleven hours from Ho Chi Minh City to Auckland but I really felt comfortable during the flight.”
Air New Zealand has been crowned 2018 Airline of the Year by leading international aviation website, AirlineRatins.com. The award marks the fifth consecutive year it has received the top honor in its Airline Excellence Awards.
Air New Zealand has also been ranked second of all airlines globally and took out Best Airline in the South Pacific in the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice™ Awards, and has had other significant wins across multiple categories.
