Day 1: Hanoi - Hai Phong - Halong Bay - Lan Ha Bay (L/D)

09:10 You will be picked up in the Hanoi Old Quarter to take a two-hour drive to Haiphong (Transfer is optional at extra charge). 

11:30 Arrival at Got Ferry Terminal. Enjoy a special tea for resfreshemtn at Orchid Cruises’ Lounge. 

12:15 Transfer by a small boat to the ORCHID CRUISES.

12:30 Enjoy welcome drink, listen to cruise briefing, safety instructions, and check in. 

13:00 ORCHID CRUISE proceeds to Da Chong islet, where you can see a lighthouse built by the French over 100 years ago. Have International Buffet Lunch while passing via the islets of Con Vit area. These amazing limestone karst formations rise up out of the sea in an impressive manner. This area is untouched, as not many cruise ships use the route via the Cat Ba Island - Thoi Quyt area - Coc Ngoi islet - through Gia Luan area where is belong to Cat Ba National Park

14:15 Visit Trung Trang cave by our bus on Cat Ba island which is located in the middle of Cat Ba National Park with Kim Giao forest around the cave. 

Trung Trang Valley is the largest valley on Cat Ba Island. The valley covers an area of approximately 300 hectares, has a depth of 10m to 30m and is around 15km in the middle of Cat Ba National Park. Trung Trang Cave measures 300m lengthwise through the mountains. The cave was carved by nature for more than 2000 years. The cave has many stalactites that take on various shapes that will awe and inspire visitors to use their imagination.

17:00 ORCHID CRUISE gets in the less populated area at Tra Bau in Lan Ha Bay. Enjoy swimming in the green emerald and cool water. 

17:45 Return to ORCHID CRUISE, enjoy the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. Onboard you may join a traditional cooking class. Our chef will instruct you in the making of some Vietnam dishes. In the early evening the boat has its Happy Hour deal

19:30 Sumptuous Candlelight Deluxe Dinner Set Menu is served. Enjoy delicious local food prepared and served for you by our wonderful onboard catering staff. This is a delightful meal in an intimate romantic setting

21:30 Enjoy the landscape of the bay at night up on the top deck. Relax whilst enjoying drinks from the bar. Try your hand at night squid fishing, watching a movie in the restaurant.

Day 2: Lan Ha Bay - Cat Ba Island (B/L/D)

This day is for two-night cruise only. Please skip it if you wish to book one-night cruise.

06:15 The day starts early onboard ORCHID CRUISES with Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Breakfast is served in the restaurant.

08:30 Transfer to Orchid Day Boat to visit Viet Hai village on Cat Ba Island. You will transfer by electric car or cycle through local villages, rain forests and dark tunnel.  Enjoy stunning scenery of rice fields on the way. Stop at the village to relax. Visit an ancient local house, which is made from straw, mud, and bamboo. Great chance to see the daily life of local people on the Cat Ba Island. 

11:30 Back to day boat for visiting Lan Ha Bay. Lunch served on day boat.

13:30 Visit Lan Ha Bay, taking a free breeze at area with the path less visited. You will use your imagination to name any beautiful islands in Lan Ha Bay or get the interesting introduction of our professional tour guide on Orchid Day Boat

15:30 Return to ORCHID CRUISE. Enjoy swimming at the untouched area.  Then, you will join a traditional cooking class. Our chef will instruct you in the making of some Vietnam dishes. Watch the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. In the early evening the boat has its Happy Hour deal

19:30 Deluxe Dinner is served. Enjoy delicious local food prepared and served for you by our wonderful onboard catering staff. This is a delightful meal in an intimate romantic setting

21:30 Enjoy the landscape of the bay at night up on the top deck. Relax whilst enjoying drinks from the bar. Try your hand at night squid fishing, watching a movie in the restaurant.

Day 3: Lan Ha Bay Departure (B)

06:15 Why not rise early to witness the bay at its very best whilst enjoying an invigorating Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Breakfast is served. Continue our journey and head out to explore the bay in the area where Frog Lake (Ao Ech) is situated.

07:45 Kayak at Frog Lake area to discover the hidden charm of Lan Ha Bay.

09:30 Come back on board and it is time for checking out.

10:00 While cruising back you can enjoy a delightful brunch.

10:30 Tea Ceremony is served at the restaurant. You will learn how to enjoy Vietnamese tea and Vietnamese cultural at this ceremony. 

11:35 Return to the Got Pier then disembark.

12:00 Transfer back to Hanoi or depart to your next destination.

PAYMENT

Booking is made more than 30 days prior to cruise date: A 50% deposit of total value is required upon confirmation. The balance must be paid at least 30 days prior to cruise date.

Booking is made less than 30 days prior to cruise date: 100% of total value is required upon confirmation.

Payment method: by bank transfer or by credit card. Client/remitting party must cover their own bank charges. Credit card payment incurs a merchant service fee of 2% for Visa, Mastercard and 3% for American Express, in addition to the total amount payable.

Booking will be cancelled if payments are not received on due date(s).

CANCELLATION/AMENDEMENT

Cancellations or amendments must be informed in writing. E-mail cancellation or booking amendments are only effective once re-confirmed by FantaSea Travel. We strongly recommend to advice passenger to purchase travel insurance to cover cancellation cost if any. We do not cover any costs related to passengers’ travelling risk. Should you have to cancel or amend, the following terms will apply:

More than 30 days: 10% of total value

From 15 to 30 days: 25% of total value

From 8 to 14 days: 50% of total value

Within 7 days or no show: 100% of total value

Certain special offers may be non-refundable/non-amendable. These will be advised to you at the time of booking. Refund can take up to 45 days after cancellation date.

COVID-19 POLICY

For all new bookings made from 1 January 2021, we grant free cancellation up to 7 days prior to arrival (thereafter 100% charge) if the reason for cancellation is related to COVID-19 such as the following:

+ Guests suspected or confirmed to carry the virus

+ Guests being denied to board an airplane

+ Border closures in Vietnam, in a neighboring country for tour bookings or in the guests’ country of residence

+ Quarantine obligation

+ New lockdown

In such circumstances, FantaSea Travel will allow you to change the dates of your tour or offer you a credit for another tour. This policy is only valid if the ability to travel is beyond the control of the guest. Guests are required to provide reasonable documentation confirming that their inability to travel is due to COVID-19 related matters. The final decision to waive cancellation charges lies entirely with FantaSea Travel at all times.
